I like both wood and plastic, and I have both.  I like wood as it finishes well and works well.  I like plastic as it does not change shape with changes in temp or humidity.  Plastic is stronger and the GI plastic stock does not have the steel liner.

I also have a hybrid stock.  The hybrid is laminated stock, it is dense and strong.  But, it can still change with humidity changes.

I have looked at the posting that shows the built-in cheek rest and it looks great!  As it has been said, wood is good and nice to work with.  I have some experience working with stocks and wood works well.  But, my serious rifle has a plastic stock, aluminum hand guard and a M1 Garand butt plate.  This rifle is NOT about accuracy, it is about reliability

So choose your stock by what you like and what you need.

i personally like the wood , but my buddy is thinking about one of the JAE chassis stocks and im on the fence about them, dont know if i like them or not, i know it will improve the accuracy

I'd Rather be right than politically correct
