I attended a Countersniper course when I was on the SWAT team as a sniper for police department.  This was many years ago and at the time we were using a Steyr SSG in .308.  Another team that was at the training had an M1A national match that they were using.  At the time I did not pay much attention as I was smitten with the SSG.  Over the years I have thought much about the M1A but just got in the position to purchase one.  Joined the forum to learn as much as I could before buying one.  I have already learned quite a bit just on the few pieces I read from the website.
