I'm glad I found this site. Hello to everyone. I hope soon to be in the market for a Scout so this place should be a good spot for advice and recommendations from all you pros.

I carried the M14 in the Marines -loved it- and thought nothing of the weight. Now being 58 instead of 19yrs, that dude sure seems heavy.

But really like that 7.62 and not a big fan of the 5.56….although I do like my Ruger mini 14. I think I want a Scout for the caliber and somewhat compactness – seems like a good match/compromise.
